What better way to celebrate America's birthday than at the beach watching fireworks with friends. Our potluck and sizzle - Aussie for BBQ - were the best ever this year! Yes, I confess, I ate a piece of grill chef Stefan's chicken! Organic and veggie dishes were scrumptious.
Politics never came up. Instead, we talked about the food and tried to get the secret spice recipe out of Gus who brought over the most mouthwatering homemade hummus. We were standing around the bowl unable to stop dipping while speculating its most unusual flavors. Turns out he used a special spice packet from Lebanon. Amazing!
Palisades Phil. What a sanctuary you live in ... falling asleep to the sound of waves washing ashore and waking to the call of sea birds in the morning. As always, you did not fail to entertain with stories of kids and dogs.
